On Identity in Photography is a catalogue to a fictitious exhibition. It was created as a semester project at the Department of Design at the Munich University of Applied Sciences. It compiles over 20 artistic positions and reflections on the facetted topic of identity in photography. This includes short paragraphs explaining the artists’ work as well as essays about photography as an artistic medium. Quotes of photographers and art historians further highlight these. The book should invite the reader to reiterate their own positions on identity in photography.
This book is a singleton and shows its individual character on the one hand by the choice of photographies and corresponding texts and on the other hand by the chosen paper, the silkscreen print on the cover and the open binding of the book itself.
